Remake: Miata 'Blood-Eye' Tierra de Pieta by bmesias063 Remake: Miata 'Blood-Eye' Tierra de Pieta by bmesias063
This is my grown-up version of that claymore character, Miata. I nicknamed her "Blood-Eye". Her husband here is Samuel Tierra de Pieta (who, of course the name provides the place, lives in Pieta).

For over one year and few months since I drew her, I bring her back again. This time, with a new family name! :D
Here is my old version of Miata for comparison:

Thanks!:)

Btw, I had her posted, but it's not fully shaded.

Can you wait for the shaded version or this artwork will you use for the colors?

I'm also worried how long will I able to connect again to the web. We got a strong storm coming and we might be out of electrical powerm,,, I hope it will not be long.

I don't think a mature Miata will appear in the canon. But rest assured it will be in the fan fiction story.:)

excellent work yet again mate :) and I love what you did here. The pose is nice and appealing (I think at least), while there is plenty of detail but not too much of it.

Thanks for faving and commenting the artwork.:D There's a need for me to improve in terms of details, and in the art totally (perhaps I can improve more than this). Even I got attracted to her pose, somewhat unique from what I commonly seen in solo artworks. Speaking of details, can you suggest some decors or the stuff that you think could add to her outfit? I am running out of good decor details on her; your suggestions will be a great help for her.:)

I took a little time to brainstorm some ideas for you. The only two things I could think of that you can add to the drawing (without doing a full or nearly full redraw) is an emblem (like a national symbol or something and or her Claymore symbol), and maybe have the bow with an engraved design of some sort or words. Perhaps there could be a little more armor for the chest area, but I do like the single piece of armor over her left breast and the shoulder armor on the same side as her sword swinging arm (or at least I think her right arm is the one she uses the claymore with). Just as a side note if there is shoulder guards, or what ever you want to call em, on someone they don't have it on the arm that they use to wield a weapon like a claymore that is on their back; otherwise the armor would block them from reaching the hilt of the weapon...I hope some of this helps XD

Yes, I think her emblem symbol is lacking in her. I'll try to put them in in my current artwork (Just for sensuality sake I'm making her again in a group portrait, together with the other "big" sisters. If you agree, they are as follows: Miata, Miria, Renee, Anastasia, Galatea, then the non canon characters Celestyna, Sophia, Nadia. Of course there will be a "small" group, that includes Helen, Claire and the non-canon Natalie in the list.):D

I'll think if I can add a little more armor in her chest, but it seems to be okay to have what she got in her armor. As to the shoulder armor, I'll try if that thing can be corrected in such a way that the claymore hilt could be reached out by her hand. But I think I devised that armor in her shoulder in such a way that it would not hinder her from reaching her sword; the armor at its top portion, though curvy, is not in contact with her shoulder at all, thus not making much blocking with sword. Anyways, it is a total impossibility (in reality) that long claymore swords can be pulled from the back single-handedly, but we accept that and assume that they can pull them easily in the manga.

Thanks for helping me out for her. If you can add something to her or to any characters I draw, just tell me so.:)

np mate, and I'm glad that some of what I said made some measure of sense XD lol. As a side note I think it would be interesting to see what happens if somebody was allowed to color your art, but sadly I don't have something like PS to accomplish that :(

It's my pleasure for my artwork to be colored!!! Btw, you know how to color art stuff? What you mean you don't have PS? You can download them for free in the internet.:)

ah I didn't know that I could download it for free lol XD and I happen to be a guy with a good eye for color. Although I don't know how to color electronically, I usually use colored pencils and such with my art work.DO you know any sites I could get PS downloaded from?

You can simply search "Photoshop CS" at google. Wait, let me see if I can find one ... perhaps this old version, CS 4 Photoshop will do. I haven't upgraded to the newest PS actually. I still use the CS 4.

the pose, the details, it can be seen that you really like what youre doing and it show beautifully.
I really like your works, but theres only one thing that bothers me a bit- the eye.
Why do you show the eyes even when they're suposed to be concealed behind her hair? XD;;

It might because I like the character. Miata depicted in her maturity is intriguing and fuels my desire to draw what she would look like in her blooming years.

As for the eyes.... I figure that out as well. Let me see if concealing the eyes will give her more beauty and reality (I'll use Photoshop for this). I just put her this way for the sake of giving the her image more lively. I assume her eyes being concealed will make her dull than lively... but I haven't tried to conceal her eyes to make my assumption confirmed.

Thanks very much for the suggestion.:)

Well, to make it more lively, simply add more bright lighting, on her eyes, lips, skin.
Or a lively pose.

People can still look lively in real life, even when you cant see their eyes through their hair (which is usually the case..)
So you shouldnt strive to be able to make her look lively even when her eyes cant be seen comepltely, or simply change the pose so the hair wouldnt be in the way. Atleast thats how I feel about it.

And youre very welcome ^_^

I think a lively pose will do ,much, like she's fighting something.:) Still, making her eyes lips and skin with light colors will do as well.

I'll try if it works in Photoshop, and if it is, I will replace this with that you suggested. Still, I feel like it will reduce her charm a bit when her eyes concealed a bit.

Fighting, dancing, some athletic exercise.
There are many possibilities.

Well, its your piece. The finl verdict belongfs to you.
I usually prefer a semi realistic style is all.

A fighting Miata will do, but a dancing Miata will be humorous!!! :D Perhaps fighting Miata is better for seriousness sake, a cooking Miata will be for the humour section. XD

That's actually what Revan5 is telling me as well. It seems I'm going to draw realistic style in the near future.:)

Thank you!:) She is really beautiful, and she is one of my favorite Claymore character. I just having my desire on what she will look like in her blooming years.:) I didn't considered much of her age specifically when I draw her, but I hope she looks more like 15 to 18 years old to fit with the fan fiction age. Well, I just don't know how to figure age in manga characters. I once drawn some image of her almost one year ago and I got problems about the matter. How about your assumption? What would be her suppose age for you?

Mmm I agree she's in her blooming years but I think her age would be.... 16/17. Because she looks like a mature teen while not an adult so that would be the age range in my opinion

Thanks very much. I'll take your suggestion then. Miata is not super mature like of a married woman nor very innocent like of a young girl. We'll make her to be around 16/17, in that case she is very much attractive even in here young age.:) No wonder Raul Tierra got his eyes stick to her.:D

But that man should be beaten up from looking other claymore girls aside from her deceased wife, Nadia Tierra.
